Hospice

Margaret Mary Hospice is a not-for-profit, hospital-based organization.

We are Medicare and Medicaid certified, state licensed and JCAHO accredited. Hospice provides a special way of caring for people with terminal illnesses and helps those who are no longer actively seeking a medical cure, but wish to live as comfortably and pain-free as possible. We serve the counties listed to the right.

Our Hospice team provides the majority of its care in patient homes, with family and friends acting as caregivers. We can also provide care in nursing homes, assisting living facilities or other types of residential facilities, as well as at MMH for inpatients receiving care for severe symptoms. At nursing facilities, we can also provide respite care for caregivers. In most cases, physicians refer patients to Hospice, however a physician referral is not necessary.
