Ways to boost energy during cold winter months

With all the cold weather lately, it’s easy to start feeling a little stir-crazy. If you’ve been spending more time indoors than usual, you may be experiencing cabin fever. The good news is there are simple ways to boost your energy even when winter feels endless.

Let the light in

Shorter days can disrupt your natural sleep-wake cycle and leave you feeling tired. Start your morning by opening the blinds as soon as you wake up. If possible, step outside for a few minutes. Even on cloudy days, natural light can help improve your mood.

Connect with others

Social isolation can add to winter fatigue. Use this time to connect with loved ones by playing games or cooking together. Laughter and conversation can boost energy.

Keep moving

Cold weather doesn’t mean you have to stop being active. Even light movement, like stretching, helps increase energy. Try short at-home workouts or walk laps around your home.

Stick to a sleep routine
