This screening checks the patient’s TSH (thyroid) and A1C (diabetes) numbers. These simple blood tests are completed at the same time and provide insights into a patient’s health. Appointments are required. To learn more or register, call 812.933.5602.

TSH Screening/Thyroid Health
The TSH test checks how well your thyroid is working.

  • Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid): Can cause weight loss, rapid heartbeat, nervousness, sweating, fatigue and an enlarged thyroid (goiter).
  • Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid): Can cause fatigue, weight gain, sensitivity to cold, dry skin, hair loss, irregular periods and depression.

A1C Screening/Diabetes Health
The A1C test measures average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months. It helps health care providers:

  • Detect prediabetes and diabetes
  • Monitor blood sugar control for people with diabetes
  • Guide and adjust treatment plans

Higher A1C levels indicate a greater risk of diabetes-related health concerns.
