Suicide Prevention & Awareness 5K
About Our 5K Event
In 2020 alone, more than 46,000 lives were lost due to suicide. We hope you'll join us we raise awareness about suicide and remind those who may be struggling that they are not alone.
Sponsored by the Margaret Mary Health Foundation, this non-competitive event is designed for walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. All proceeds benefit the Health Foundation's Addiction Services & Behavioral Health Fund. Online registration is now closed, but you may still register the day of the 5k. Cost is $25/person.
Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. It's our hope the Stop the Stigma 5K allows those in our community to acknowledge the ways suicide and mental illness have affected both our lives and our loved ones.
During the event, we ask all participants to wear honor beads - each color representing our personal connection to the cause and helping us to identify others who understand our experience. When you register below, please be sure to select your appropriate color.
- Purple: Loss of a relative or friend
