Minor Care

Available 24/7 inside our Emergency Services Department, Minor Care is designed to provide convenient, timely and quality care to patients who are experiencing less complicated injuries or illnesses.

Minor Care can be an option for patients who can’t be seen immediately by their physician or for those who do not require the higher level of care provided in the Emergency Department.

Minor Care is designed to treat common illnesses or injuries, including:

  • Earaches
  • Sore throat
  • Cough
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Infections
  • Simple rash
  • Minor urinary complaints
  • Simple respiratory complaints
  • Simple strains and sprains
  • Small cuts and wounds

When you arrive at the hospital, a nurse will evaluate your condition and determine whether you need to be treated in Minor Care or the Emergency Department. Many Minor Care patients may be seen by one of our board-certified nurse practitioners.

Minor Care fees are less expensive than traditional Emergency Department charges and are based on the level of care provided, as well as the level of diagnostic testing, supplies and other services required. For more information, call (812) 933-5148 or email Sharon Kreuzman.
