Immunizations are key to boosting your immune system and preventing you from getting serious diseases.
MMH offers immunizations for both children and adults at the Margaret Mary Occupational Health and Wellness Clinic. Tuberculin skin tests (also known as TST, TB or PPD) are also available.
All recommended childhood vaccines are available at our clinic. Vaccines are given on a routine schedule: 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, age 4-6 years, 11 years and 16 years. For children 17 years of age and younger, consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian. Please bring your child’s personal immunization record with you or immunizations may not be able to be given. to call in advance to verify your vaccine is in stock. Vaccines may also be available for international travel. To find out which travel vaccines are needed, a consultation may be scheduled with one of our travel health specialists by calling 812.932.5105. Below is a list of the available vaccines:
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria (Td)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap)
- Typhoid (Oral)
- Varivax (Chicken Pox)
your eligibility and coverage is with your carrier. Please contact your insurance company to verify coverage limitations. The MMH Wellness Clinic's rendering physician is Thomas A. DeCilles, MD. Immunizations are billed as "preventative" and may be covered under the wellness category of your insurance plan.
the Vaccine For Children Program (VFC). Some of the requirements include:
- Having any form of Medicaid, MD-Wise, Hoosier Healthwise, Anthem Medicaid or MHS (Managed Health Services)
- Having no health insurance
- Having insurance that does NOT cover vaccines (This does NOT include insurance plans that require you to meet your deductible first.)
