Every January, special recognition is given to the first baby born at Margaret Mary Health in the new year. Thanks to H&R Block, the last baby of 2016 also received attention and giveaways. Born at 2:37 p.m. on Dec. 30, Rhett Patrick Horan (pictured – above) was the last baby born at Margaret Mary in 2016 to parents Kyle and Bridgette Horan of Greensburg. Delivered by Lee Ann Bauer, MD, he weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. For being the last baby of 2016, H&R Block gave Rhett a basket full of goodies. He was welcomed home by big sister, Autumn, 1.

Arriving at 7:39 a.m. on Jan. 3, Jazmin Mae Alejandre (pictured – right) became the first baby born at Margaret Mary in 2017. Delivered by Jeffrey Hatcher, MD and Kimberly Kick, MD, her parents are Juan Jose Alejandre and Angela Jones of Brookville. She weighed 7 lbs., 5.6 oz. and was 19 inches long. For being the first baby of 2017, Margaret Mary presented Jazmin with a Babies “R” Us gift card. She was welcomed home by big brother, Jonathan, 12.
