Born at 1:33 AM on Jan. 2, Liam Thomas Shane arrived in a hurry, making him the first baby born at Margaret Mary Health in 2023. The night before his arrival, Liam’s mother, Brianna, suspected she was in labor but decided to wait awhile at home to be sure. Around midnight, she told her husband, Austin, to grab her bags because she could tell Liam wasn’t wasting time.

After the Greensburg couple rushed to the hospital, Brianna gave birth to Liam minutes after arriving in the OB department. With no time to spare, he was delivered by ER Physician James Coots. Liam weighed just over 8 lbs. and was 21 inches long. He will be welcomed home by his big sister, Lyla, 2.
